[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] Questions about extra memory for A1000

rolf@falcon18.ericsson.se (Rolf Danielsson konsult) (04/17/91)

I recently purchased an 1 MByte Insider board for my old A1000.
Yesterday after I had installed it and switch on the machine
the power LED blink as it should and after a little while
the monitor beeped the way it usually does and then the screen
turned white, but then nothing happened. I did not get the
Kickstart picture, and there was no reaction in the floppy.

Now I wonder if anyone have any idea about what can be wrong?

I have two other easier questions.

I would like to know what kind of memory is used in
Supra Harddisks with room for 2 MByte? SIP, SIMM ... ?

I also would like to know if there is any external unpopulated
memory boards for the A1000 where SIP modules are used?

I happen to have 2 MByte, 8st 256k SIP, left over from another
machine and I was thinking maybe I could use them for my A1000.

Posibly I could consider building something myself.
Any ideas how?
