I have an Amiga 3000 and a C64-C with a 1351 mouse. Both my Amiga mouse and my 1351 mouse look the same but I didn't want to risk sticking the 1351 into my A miga and having something fry. So my question is, Can I use a Commodore 1351 m ouse(made for the 64) with my Amiga 3000 or any other Amiga? Thanks. Jason Koszarsky, JBK4@PSUVM

The power and GrouND lines should (actually, have to) be the same as the Amiga's joy/mouse ports, so you won't destroy anything by plugging it in. The mouse mode will not work on the Amiga, but the joystick mode should work in place of a joystick (of course). My friend tried to do this, and ended up opening up the entire thing along with the actual plug to try ang figure out where the wires were going, to no success. -- David Tiberio SUNY Stony Brook 2-3481 AMIGA DDD-MEN Tomas Arce Any students from SUNY Oswego? Dear JBK4@psuvm.psu.edu, let me quote your message of <24 Apr 91 01:10:30> about <Will a C=1351 mouse work with an Amiga?>, where you write: JB> JB> I have an Amiga 3000 and a C64-C with a 1351 mouse. Both my Amiga JB> mouse and my 1351 mouse look the same but I didn't want to risk JB> sticking the 1351 into my A miga and having something fry. So my JB> question is, Can I use a Commodore 1351 m ouse(made for the 64) with JB> my Amiga 3000 or any other Amiga? Thanks. You can use a 1351 with Amiga, but you must use the PCB of an original Amiga mice: the mechanical part is the same, but the electronic circuit is very different: basically, the 1531 emulate the paddles. I have replaced the broken mechanic of my old Amiga mouse with the mechanic and case of a cheap 1351 mouse and now it works fine!
