[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] May I turn off my GVP Impact Series II?

pilgrim@daimi.aau.dk (Jakob G}rdsted) (05/03/91)

Well, as the subject line goes: May I switch my computer system off,
then switch the ON/Off button on the powersupply to the GVP off
(note there is no charge on the powersupply, every thing is turned off)
and then switch the system on again?
To put it shortly: May I turn on my amiga500 with the harddisk still
in the expansion port, and the harddisk turned off ? The manual does
not say anything about this, so I suppose I may not(and there is that
boot selector). But I would like to use my amiga without the harddisk
turned on(and without disconnecting it), for example when listening
to music(well the humming from the air cooler and the spinning disk
isn't part of the music). And yes, this is both music on the amiga, and
from normal music media :-)
