Recently, my mouse has been giving me problems moving left and right... It started a while ago, (don't remember precisely when) with a loss of smoothness. That is, the left-right motion became somewhat jerky. Then, about 4 days ago, it stopped responding left-right at all. I figured it was probably the cable, so I opened it up, and removed about 2 inches of cable near the mouse body. (Boy, was that a pain! The damn solder pads are so close together it's nearly impossible to avoid bridging them.) I put it back together, and it worked. Great! I thought... until I left the room, came back, and it was responding jerkily again, and the jerkiness has gotten worse as the evening progresses. Anybody have any ideas what I can do to fix this? Any response is much appreciated... thanks in advance, jeff -- Jeff Rizzo | "If we took the bones out, it wouldn't be crunchy, seamus@bucsf.bu.edu | would it?" (617)566-0693 |
