Does anyone know what it means when your amiga displays a "puke green" color on the screen (full screen) and blinks the power-on (RED) button repeatedly when the system is turned on? This only happens when my a501 is inside the trapdoor on the bottom. The second I remove it, the amiga boots and runs fine! Its not a terribly big problem, as I have a trumpcard on the side (and can easily add mo' RAM with a meta-iv) but I'd like to upgrade the unit to a fatter agnus in the near future and w/o trapdoor access that could prove to be a bit difficult. So basically, I am wondering if its a problem with the pins on the bottom, OR if its a problem with the a501 itself. Don't wanna buy another a501 to find out it won't work either! Any place to see what the "startup" error codes are on an amiga? For ex, in IBM manuals they explain (in excruciatingly painful detail) what it means when the system starts beeping at boot ("7 beeps plus a bonk means your clone is depressed. 3 beeps, a bonk, a bip, and a little dance means your clone needs some sun...etc, etc"). -- Apple II Forever | 6600prao@ucsbuxa.ucsb.edu | IBMs get the job done Parik Rao | Amiga - for the creative mind | Class of 1994 Macintosh - buy it or Apple will sue you.
