[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] Older and newer versions of A3000

ronkko@cc.helsinki.fi (05/07/91)

What differences are there between the early (with 40 Mb HD) and currently
sold (with 50 Mb HD) A3000s, except the Hard disk itself? Is there any reason
NOT to buy these older machines? (They are still occasionally delivered to
Finland from Commodore, att least the 16Mhz/40Mb machine, and sold at the same
price as the newer ones;-). I have heard there is at least one change on the
motherboard, concerning the termination of SCSI bus. What does this mean in
practice? Do I have to remove terminators from all internal HD's, if I put
several drives into the older type of A3000?
