[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] sunmouse

I have a sun mouse model M4, and I am trying to make it work with my A2000 ...
but there are some problems. Only 3 wires are going in the cable, +5v/GND/X
'X' is a combined signal for ALL events UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT/BUTTONS ...
Now I wonder if there is someone who already have written such driver ?

--- Do at your own risk ---

If the model is M3 then you can use a more direct method (SP?) to interface it
                ^^
to the amiga:

1) open the mouse, take care of the plastic balls dont falls out...

2) look at the board, you can see a row of ten (10) soldered holes,
numbered 1-10, these should be soldered as below:

      10	pin: 1
       \ /
SUN:	O O O O O O O O O O
	| | | | | | | | | |
	| | | | | | | | | |
	| | | | | | | | | |
AMIGA: 2 7 8 4 3 1 6 5 9

pin ten(10) is not used...

NOTE: the M3 mouse could also be connected with a 3wire coord, but then you
      have the driver ...
