I have an Amiga 2000 (Rev. 4.2) with 1 meg of memory (512 K chip, 512 K fast) equipped with a Trumpcard Proffessional SCSI controller and a Quantum 105 M Pro Drive in a hard card format. When I first bought the thing (cost me over $700 five months ago mail order from Computability in Wisconsin) the software didnt work so I return it to IVS and they gave me a working version. Since then I have been happily using my 105 Meg HardDrive. About 5 or 6 days ago I have experienced some intermittent problems -- after a long period of reading from dh0: (dir dh0: all) the hard disk light would stay on for a long time and the Drive seems to lock up and leave me hanging. I cannot abort the operation. Rebooting does not turn that hard disk light off. A cold start however does thetrick, until yesterday! Now I can't even access the harddrive. After the binddrivers command is executed the hard drive light would turn on and stay on and I will get a message "Please insert volume dh0: in any drive" The TCUTILS software that came with the Controller does the same thing. I tried running the software without the card installed and everything is normal, so it can't be the software. I tried it with the card but with no driveand the problem was there again. (I have Kickstart 1.2 and WB1.3 if it matters to anyone) If anyone out there has any ideas please email me at adap@edmund.cs.andrews.edu thank you in advance.
