Well I just got a faster drive than a Quantum 105s: a Quantum 210s..
Still the Hard Frame 2000 blows away the GVP's Host SCSI..
on a BLANK partition:
HF 2000 1,425,204 read 736,054 write (64k cache)
GVP 1,182,143 read 647,018 write (64k cache)
The seek/reads were always around 500/sec for HF and 327/sec for gvp host scsi
Mike at Microbotics told me yesterday that Micropolis used HF 2000's to
test some prototype drives and those drives measured 1.7 meg per sec..
My addvice to potential GVP buyers with a hf 2000 already? Keep the HF...
