Hello world, I want to connect an old 80 tracks 5.25 inch disk drive to my Amiga 500. I build the well-known '7474 circuit'. The circuit works well with a newer Chinon drive. Now I want to connect the old drive, a remainder of my Acorn BBC-B system. The drive is a Mitsubishi Mini Flexible Disk Drive, model M4853-112M, dated 03-1984. On this drive there are 3 groups of jumpers. Group 1: ---- |--| HS <-- Jumpered for BBC. |..| HC |..| HM |..| HL |..| HH ---- Group 2: ---- |..| DC |..| 2S |--| MM <-- Jumpered for BBC. |..| MS |--| IU <-- Jumpered for BBC. ---- Group 3: DS ---- |..| 3 |--| 0 <-- Jumpered for BBC. |..| 1 This is probably the drive select group. |..| 2 |..| MX ---- My questions: Who knows the meaning of the letters and who knows how I have to change the jumpers to let the drive work on my Amiga? Does this drive support the diskchange signal? If you have this information, please e-mail! Thanks in advance. Greetings, Raymond Hoving.
