A question... A friend of mine recently bought the Amiga 3000 16/50 with the A1950 monitor. He booted Amax with it, and used it with the deinterlacer on under the 640x400 mode. Works perfectly, NO FLICKER, Rock solid display. We went on to try the productivity mode; FLICKER, FLICKER.. It was extremely bad, shook like crazy. I was trying to figure out why (basically, how does the 3000 output at higher resolutions). I have read a little on the interlacing/deinterlacing and refresh rates of monitors. From what it seems, I should be able to go out and buy a monitor that supports a non-interlaced 1024x768 display, and view a flicker-free hi-res display mode under the 3000 (with deinterlacer on). Is this correct? If not, did CBM go through the deinterlacer for these high-res modes, or is there another solution to elimninate the flicker at modes above 640x480?? Thanx for your help, lkelly@oasys.dt.navy.mil
