[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] Double-Talk and Amax //

abs0@eleazar.dartmouth.edu (Kelvin Leung) (05/25/91)

Would anyone care to tell me what exactly does Double-Talk do?
Does it allow us to hook Amigae (what a word! :-)) up with AppleTalk?
If it does, I wonder if we somehow use it along with Amax // to get
  access to AppleTalk.

Double-Talk is PP&S's way of talking twice as fast as normal AppleTalk
to other Double-Talk'ed Amigas.

Yes. So will DigiFeX's Interact software (plug, plug, plug) and CSA's
40/4 Magnum will (another plug, plug, plug).

Nope. You'll need A-MaxII+ whenever ReadySoft releases it. You need
special serial hardware to talk AppleTalk on the Amiga. ReadySoft _should_
support the Interact hardware, and the 40/4 Magnum, and _may_ support
Double-Talk.
