I've been trying without success to get a 300Mb Wren IV drive to work with my A2090A controller. Is this the old Seagate problem coming back to haunt us? Am I doing something stupid with the cabling? Can the A2000 power supply handle the 2A at 5V and 2.3A at 12V that the drive sucks? All I know is that the drive won't even select. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Zik

Have you had any success in getting the drive to work on other controlers? It yes, then I would be for taking your controler back ASAP. If no, then check the various jumper settings. Do you have another HD online? If yes, then make sure that both drives are not set to the same SCSI number. Does the Wren spin up (start spinning, go click, then do a bunch of seaks). If no, something is wrong. If, during the power up sequence, the LED flashes in a rythem (pattern), then there may be a physical error that the controler is detecting and barfing on. Hope this helps, Dan Bendiksen. -- DAN BENDIKSEN - via FidoNet node 1:105/14 UUCP: ...!{uunet, reed}!glacier!busker!601!DAN.BENDIKSEN INTERNET: DAN.BENDIKSEN@f601.n105.z1.FIDONET.ORG
