I bought a a CA-880 3.5" disk drive about 2 years ago, and it worked fine for the first year... It was a really great drive. But it broke about a year ago. I sent it off to a friend of mine who repairs computers. He worked on it for a while, and figured out which part needed replacement. He called CA (Calafornia Access) to order the part, but they told him that they didn't sell replacement parts!!! No one else can sell replacement parts, because CA has the copyright! That means the CA 880 is a DISPOSABLE DISK DRIVE!!! They say they might start selling repair parts some day, but until then I am short a drive! There's $120 down the drain!!! What a waste...
