I too have been looking for a monitor for an A3000 I recently ordered. Anyone else looking for a monitor should probably check out the March 18, 1991 issue of Info World, pages 53-63. They review 14 VGA monitors. The seemed to like the Nanao 9060S, Seiko CM1450, and Sony CPD1304 the best. I will probably got whichever of these three I can get cheapest, unless anyone can supply pros/cons for any of them. I'm also looking for suggestions on a good place to mail order any of these monitors. I checked out a recent Computer Shopper, but am sort of worried about latching on to a Mongomery Grant type company... :-( -baron -- // uhccux amiga archive | amiga@uhccux.uhcc.hawaii.edu | amiga@uhccux.bitnet \X/ "just another peon" | baron@uhunix.uhcc.hawaii.edu | baron@uhccux.bitnet

I would recommend that you also take a look at the NEC 2A. This is the monitor that I got (for $379). It is a multi-sync non-interlaced monitor that does 800x600. It has the full set of monitor adjustments right there on the front of the monitor. If you don't need 1024x768 and as far as I can tell the amiga display modes don't use any rates above 740x512, so go with the cheaper monitor's like the NEC 2A.

Go ahead and buy direct from Computer Shopper's advertisers. I have bought several peripherals and have gotten consistent and friendly service, honest deals on hardware and some of the lowest prices in the world for computer hardware. Even when I had hard drive problems I have gotten friendly service and fast turnaround (well, as fast as delivery goes).
