Hi. I finally got around to using my old A1000. I had a stock A1000 with 512K and two diskette drives. I upgraded to a LUCAS/FRANCES so I got a faster processor and 2.5MB total. I then came into a SCSI controller (Emulex board used in an AT&T SCSI controller) that talks to an ESDI disk (135MB Hitachi). So I found someone who sold me a C-LTD SCSI controller for the A1000. I understand they are no longer in business. Problems: I edited the mountlist for 150MB using the hdcalc program that came with the CLTD controller so that I could get a flags value to put into the mountlist. However, when I try to format, I either guru or I hang (soft reboot either way). Question: Does anyone out there have any experiences using the CLTD SCSI with a LUCAS/FRANCES combo? I'm trying to eliminate that as a reason. Thanks for your help. Saify Lanewala att!attunix!stl

You can get this from Microdyn at 316-265-2661. Microdyn has taken over the CLtd. SCSI controller line . Two other notes about my experiences: 1) I could never get the CLtd controller to work with a LUCAS at >16Mhz. and 2) On some drives I had to disable the block read function in order to keep the SCSI Bus from hanging. Hope this helps, Chad
