I was wondering -- I am thinking about purchasing the AMAX II Mac Emulator for the Amiga 500. I have read the .Info review of the system, but I found the information contained within to be, well, LACKING. So, I've decided to come to the nets. My question is this: How WELL does the AMAX II perform? Would I, the loly Amiga user, using an AMAX II setup, be able to run pretty much whatever Macintosh software I desire? (BTW, my primary interest would be with regards to Mac WordPerfect, and a few other utilities that are frankly superior to the Amiga version.) I guess what my question boils down to is this: Is it worth it? And if it does work...what's the catch? Please reply via e-mail. But "AmaxII" ain't gonna hack it.. who knows what the heck you want. Take it to c.s.a.emulations, and we'll sort it all out, ok? >Tony Bruno ud118950@ndsuvm1 "And then my brain started to bleed..." Makes you feel important, does it? But it's *SO* ambiguous. I thought maybe you were giving away free monitors. First of all -- To all those who responded: Thanks for the info. It has helped me a great bit. Secondly (for all those who finger must *ache* when they have to skip over a message that they really don't want to read) sorry about the ambiguous subject line. However, since I thought the posting WAS very general, "Amax II" seemed as straightforward as they come. I now know that i should have spelled the subject out a little clearer. Once again, sorry. Lastly, I would have taken this to .emulations HAD I THOUGHT IT NECESSARY. Obviously, since the Amax consists of hardware, I thought that this was a good starting place. I HAD intended to take it to .emulations next, but I have no desire to deal with that networks self-proclaimed "moniter." Perhaps if he would have showed me the courtesy of a mail message explaining what bothered him -- rather than a posting -- I would have continued utilizing the network function. However, if this is any indication of how information is passed, sorry, they just lost a customer. Once again, thanks to all those that replied. I will certainly utilize the information passed in reaching my final decision. Thanks again. Tony Bruno ud118950@ndsuvm1 "And then my brain started to bleed..."
