[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] '040 Card for A3000

m_evans@fennel.cc.uwa.oz.au (05/31/91)

Does anyone know if either Commodore or a Third party is developing an '040
card for the 3000? I've read the '040 Designers Handbook, the information
presented within it would leave one to think that it should be fairly
straight forward (ie one chapter is devoted to interfacing an '040 to an '030
system, including PAL equations for the interfacing logic plus suggested
methods).

With the '040 now moving into production quantities this should be a real
possibility.

The May 1991 issue of Amiga World (Todd Rundgren on the cover) has an
ad for an '040 board, opposite page 52.

It's a funny thing, I just posted the info for the 2000 version, but
the address/phone numbers seem to be different; this is what I got:

RCS Management Inc.
120 Mc Gill, Montreal, Quebec, Tel.:(514) 871-4924
Canada, H2Y 2E5 Fax.:(514) 871-4926

Try both as I did not verify them yet.

I assume that there will be a 3000 version later.
