I just picked up my new Amiga 3000 from the PowerUp deal... my A2000 has done a fine job since I bought one of the very first, but it's time to move up. Anyway, when I opened the box I found a very pleasant suprise! Commodore is shipping newly redesigned mice with seemingly ALL Amiga 3000's, not just the new UNIX machines! While it isn't three button like the unix model, it does look identical otherwise. I was very impressed with the tactile response... this mouse CLICKS where the old one CLUNKS. The new shape of the mouse is aesthetically pleasing as well as comfortable to hold. Hopefully they solved the problem with the contacts wearing out so fast. Also in my 3000 package they finally include the intuition version of BRU hard disk backup. The documentation is also updated to include CPU and the other new commands. I also got a very nice laminated fold-out reference card which covers AmigaDos, Ed, Memacs, and Edit. With a 16MHz A3000, 6megs RAM, 155megs HD space, and two floppies, I am a very happy computer camper! (Can't wait for the '040 board!) --- |-----------------------------------?--------------------------------| | Brian C. Berg ?
