[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] For sale: Digiview digitizer for amiga

michael@maui.cs.ucla.edu (michael gersten) (06/25/91)

For sale: A digiview digitizer, a digidroid automated wheel turner,
a black and white camera (the recommended one), a stand with two
flourescent lights, digipaint software package, all the cables
needed, everything.

I have no idea what this is worth; please send me your offers.

For those who do not know what this is: This is a digitizer that connects
to the printer port of your amiga (use an A/B switch to talk to the
printer as well). It takes a few seconds to digitize (as opposed to
"Live!", which can do a few frames a second), and can do either black and
white pictures (takes one pass), or color pictures (takes three passes),
and can produce color seperated images (seperate red, greed, blue images)
if you need that.

Digipaint is the accompanying (sold seperately) paint package designed
to work with HAM pictures; it can be used, for example, to re-colorize
a picture (a la Ted Turner) to see what a different shade might look like;
this can be done without destroying the varying shades of lightness that
already exist (i.e., not just putting a fixed color blot on the picture,
but changing something from various shades of red to various shades of
orange or whatever).

Reason for selling: No time to really use it (too much else to play with).
Works fine, good condition.
