[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] A1000 and 96Meg SCSI

ks37+@andrew.cmu.edu (Kurt Jurgen Schaefer) (06/28/91)

Does anyone know a cheap SCSI interface that would let my A1000
work with the 96Meg SCSI that was mentioned a little while
ago on this board. (I think it was:: Subject: information on cheap 96Meg
SCSI, 3'5) or some such. I think the offer was of limited duration,
so any information would would be a big help.

     Thanks,

The drive was a Maxtor 96 meg 3.5, 27 ms access time (SCSI).
for $250 avail from IME Computers (Boston) 1-800-999-1911.
The Sale ended last friday, but You still Might be able to
get the drive at $250 (as I did on Monday)....It is Nice,
It only formatted to 90 Meg on my HardFrame Though....

As for a Controller, How cheep do you want to go...
I have a C.LTD Kronos for the 2000 for sale, Don't know if it will
work on the 1000....$75 (It does not support SCSI Direct Protocol,
so hooking a Tape Drive up to it (with BTN tape) will not work)

The cheapest compatible SCSI-Interface for the A1000 is the Commodore A590.

Just turn it around 180 degrees (top side still up), plug it in and use it.

Autoboot, C= compatible...
