[rec.audio.high-end] Suggestions

The big problem for me with audio is the effect of
the listening room on the quality of the sound.
What this means is that a product review may mean
very little because you can't translate the experience
the reviewer had in his room to your room. By extension
this means that even if it sounds good in the store,
it may not sound good at home.

The only answer is to audition in your home. The
barrier to that is cost. Which is my roundabout
way of saying it would be good if you carried
ads from newsgroup members to sell their used
equipment. Buying used is about the only way
many of us can economically afford to experience
hi-end equipment in the only place that really
matters - our own listening rooms. Personally
I'm looking for a used Forte 1a or Aragon.

[I am not opposed to people tastefully listing used high-end equipment
they have for sale. Large ads I would probably ask a poster to trim though.
