I am not sure where to send this. I have just today subscribed to the High-Audio-Digest, and had a question for anyone interested: Latly, I have done a fair amount of listening to various interconnects and speaker cables and am curious what others have to say on the subject. I don't think there would be a lot of debate as to whether or not your interconnects effect the kind of sound you get, but what parameters really contribute to the charactristic sound? I can't help but think that the way the cables are terminated will make a difference too. When I was trying interconnects, I was trying to get some idea of what the various cables were doing to the signal, so I made up a 6" pair of connects with cheap RCA plugs and some very heavy cable on the assumption that this would not be much worse than what's used in some speakers, and since they were short and had a small impedence, it would be like having the preamp wired directly to the amp. Much to my surprisethese cables sounded little better than the stock cables you can buy at Radio Shack. This leads me to believe that, although what's between the plugs in important, how they are attached can be equally important. Rob Gaetz
