Techie question: I've got a Sony TCD D-10 PRO (from memory - I think that's the model) DAT recorder on order, which has an AES/IBU digital output jack. I ultimately need to transfer the audio from the DAT to may Macintosh (yes, I know how much space it takes; I've got a 800Meg removable media WORM drive to hold it). Can anyone help me with either (a) find a simple, inexpensive device to take the AES/IBU output and pump it over a SCSI bus or similar, or (b) at least give me a pointer to find the content of that standard so I can try to write code to parse it myself? Any help would be much appreciated. Larry Hunter National Library of Medicine hunter@nlm.nih.gov (301) 496-9300 PS: I also have one of Digidesign's new Audiomedia audio digitizer cards on order. Its job will be to take analog audio and write it to disk. Is there any way to use it to grab the DAT output, short of doing D/A -> A/D?
