  Has anyone seen any of the DAT players with SCMS that are
supposed to become commonplace in U.S. stores this summer?

  I read an article in some un-scientific magazine that described
the SCMS copy-protection scheme. It made it sound as if just a single
bit is set to indicate whether the entire tape is a digital copy or 
a digital original. How hard could that be to thwart?
