About 10 years ago I purchased what was then (I believe) a high-end turntable consisting of a Thorens belt-drive platform with an SME tone-arm. I used it primarily for transcribing records to tape. For reasons having nothing to do with the equipment, I stopped using my system about 5 years ago. The turntable has been in storage since then. Since I'm about to move, I'd be curious to know if the turntable is worth keeping, or is it now hopelessly out of date (for a turntable). Any opinions based on fact will be greatly appreciated.
