I would be interested to hear from people in re their experience with the Wilson Audio Tiny Tots-WATTs, and the accompanying woofers- the Puppies, and sub-woofer-the WHOW. Are there those in netland who have them, have auditioned them critically, liked them, preferred the competition, and if so, what accompanying equipment are you using? If you have the WATTS, tell me how you think they image, how far you have them apart, what sort of toe-in you have, how distant your listening position is, how big your room is, and how live. Some of us may have read the mini-review in the last TAS, which called them junior WAMMs, but disparaged the WATT's imaging and depth of soundstage. I thought the review poor, in that sufficient effort in getting the WATTs to image wasn't made, and in that, although the WATTs were liked a lot, it wasn't made clear why. I am in the process of auditioning the WATT/Puppies now, with KRELL CD transport and DAC, Manley Reference pre-amp, VTL Ichibans, Versa Model One and Benz Micro MC-3, and Audioquest Clear and Lapis cables--and I'm interested in getting the performance, soundstage and detail-wise, of which I know them to be capable. If you prefer other speakers to the WATTS, which are they? What is your related equipment? And if you remember what equipment were the WATTs demonstrated with? For those who wish to reply direct, please do--I will summarize if there is sufficent interest. By WATTs I mean WATT IIs, the newer model. -- Ed Whittemore uunet!maxed!ed American Micro Group 201 944 3293
