[rec.audio.high-end] new cartridge needed

i ripped the cantilever right out of my Shinon Red last night. sob. my
beautiful VTA gone, gone, gone. the dealer tells me it could be up to
75% of full price.

if i am going to be shelling out major bucks for this, i should consider
a new MC.

range:    $1000-1200 -- i am looking at a Kyestu black or the purple wooden one.

music:    classic, romantic, modern
          acoustical guitar work (yah, some folky stuff too.)
          mostly jazz, particularily female vocal.
