[rec.audio.high-end] Apogee vs. Magnepan?

I am in the market for speakers in the $2000-$3000 range, and would
like a comparison of the Apogee with the Magnepan speakers. I haven't
heard any Apogee myself, but I have heard the Magnepan IIIa. I liked
the Magnepan far better than any other speaker I heard. The things I
liked were the tightness of the sound and detail of the high end.
These seem like characteristics that go with planar technology, so I
think I may also like the Apogee speakers. 

I read William Kucharski's review of the Apogee Caliper Signatures,
but missed the review of the Stages.  William, could you forward me
your earlier review? Also, what are the retail prices of the Apogee
speakers?
