[rec.audio.high-end] Source for surplus capacitors

Some time ago there was a query here on a source of high value capacitors.
Sorry for the delay, but I did not have my catalogue handy for some time.

All Electronics Corp. has 7500 uF, 200 V caps, catalogue number CG-75,
at $4 each. Those I received are made by Western Electric, and are
marked: KS20133L134. They are described as computer grade.

I have no particular opinion as to their quality. The project which will
use them is not yet complete.

The address is :

    PO Box 567
    Van Nuys, Ca 91408

    (818) 904-0524, (800) 826-5432 for orders

They also have photoflash caps, usually Rubicon or Nichicon, from 160 uF at
200 V (60 cents each) to 210 uF at 330 V (2.50 each), 10% less at 10.
They usually have an interesting range of capacitors available. And, quite
often, a good selection of relays. I picked up a bunch of Midtex relays,
dip style, with gold-plated contacts, for < $2 each, a few years ago.
In the current catalogue there are power relays, 3P at 10 amps a pole, for
about $3.50 (retail for these, in the Newark catalogue, is $14 or so, I
believe). If you plan a large power supply, you may want to use something
like these to control the turn-on surge, via a current limiting resistor
which you short out at perhaps 75% of full charge voltage.

There is also a lot of junk in their catalogue, but there is enough good
stuff to make it worth getting.
