Sound Values /SCC is currently offering refurbished Crown/Techron 8520
mono power amps for $1,195 each ($1,995 a pair). These are very heavy
duty professional amps rated at 1000 watts into 8 ohms. At the price
they should be a terrific bargain. I'm thinking of getting a pair to
power my subwofers but I hesitate to order equipment which I have
not heard.
Has anyone in rec.audio.high-end netland ever heard these beasts?
I would greatly appreciate any opinions or advice.
