[rec.audio.high-end] Marchand Active Crossovers

val@uwm.UUCP (Val Christian) (02/27/91)

Has anyone first hand experience using active filters or other kits from
Marchand Electronics? Their active filter kits appear to be the best offering
I have seen, both in terms of performance and price.

I am open to comments and any additional recommendations. Thanks.

If you write them (Marchand) you'll get their package of reviews along
with flyers describing their products. The reviews were fine. The
only negative was the lack of a pot on the crossover outputs.

I'm ordering 2 of them in the next few weeks. If you can wait, I'll
post a review.

If you want output level controls, a full ground plane and a few
other improvements, get the XM9 kit. It will answer your needs.
Marchland released it last November. I have one but haven't assembled
it yet.

I tried emailing directly, but no reply (no bounce, either). Can
anyone tell me the address and/or phone number of Marchand so I can
get a catalog? Thanks,
