Is there anybody out there having any experience about the tube power-amplifier kit made by Welleman, or the new digitally controlled pre-amplifier from Welleman too. My opinion is that if well built, they are very well worth their price and will beat many well-known amplifiers (ready made, not construction kits). At least I haven't found a tube amplifier as good even near to the price of this Welleman kit. And if you know a really good (not too expensive) mono or bridgeable stereo amplifier suitable for driving a max. of 300W subwoofer and that would fit to the combination of these two Wellemans, I would really appreciate the info! The amp should be able to give out 300W peaks all the way down to 15 Hz. Frequencies over 50Hz are not needed, my main speakers (self constructed) can handle them very well indeed. (They can do 25Hz-25kHz, max 200W, 8 ohm) Subwoofers impedance is also 8 ohms. Jartsu *** Jari Lehto, jartsu@otax.hut.fi, s37837k@saha.hut.fi ***
