OK, this may sound a bit tweakazoid, but I am looking for comments and sources of different brands of quality resistors. I have been burnwned once by terrible resistors (ie. bias voltages flying all over the place, floating grounds, and other horrors) and don't want to repeat that disaster. Oh, and for those with tube amps that require obscure tubes, a really great source of weird tubes is ham radio shops and conventions. I just returned from the Dayton Hamvention ( a really really big show ) and there must have been over 50 vendors with thousands of strange tubes. One vendor even had a display of unusual tubes (klystrons, 1000 watt transmitting tubes, three pronged mercury bulbs, and other beasts) I also managed to dig up some cheap silver-teflon-silver mil spec sheilded cable ($1 a foot), high-voltage caps and a $10 oscillioscope. -Terence Spies (ts2b+@andrew.cmu.edu)
