Well I went and saw 'em - a company called Division from the Bristol area, and one called W Industries from Leicester (you on the net, people?) We may be lagging behind our cousins across the herring pond, but I most definitely see arcade games contracts within weeks (apparently W Industries' baby had only been announced to the public at this exhibition). Division was demonstrating the product called Vision, a client/server system using VPL eyephone/glove peripherals. The blurb on their product indicates an object oriented information interchange between client systems controlling the user interface, and a server integrating the information from multiple clients. They can be reached at: Division Ltd, Quarry Road, Chipping Sodbury, Bristol BS17 6AX, England. The demo was a flight simulator, and was well worth the queue, in my opinion, although we weren't allowed very long! I'm not sure if the Visette has been mentioned here before, but here are the details: PHYSICAL: Size 480x240x300mm Weight 2.9kg Fits head Suitable for 10 years to adult Locking Ergolock anthropometric clamping system (no I don't understand either!!!) (#300 for the talks, #100 for the proceedings, a not very large book which looked like it cost #10 to produce, even in the small numbers they would have had - information is so expensive these days!) For those of us who simply have a keen interest rather than getting it on company expenses, this is a real shame. Did any other Netlanders attend? -- Harry Fearnhamm, ,---.'\ EMAIL: loki@moncam.uucp Monotype ADG, (, /@ )/ ...!ukc!acorn!moncam!loki Science Park, /( _/ ') VOICE: +44 (0)223 420018 Cambridge, \,`---' FAX: +44 (0)223 420911 CB4 4FQ, DISCLAIMER: Nothing is True.
