Do any flight simulators exist that introduce oxygen system failures?
Altitude chamber visits are good idea, but the next logical step is to
familiarize pilots with the effects of hypoxia under a normal work load.
To produce an accurate and realistic effect, would the simulator need
the "cockpit" to be in a pressure chamber? I wonder if changing the
ratio of oxygen to nitrogen/(some other inert gass) would be sufficient.
Don't mind me, I currently boggling my mind with thoughts of how virtual
reality will impact the future of instrument flight, as we know it today.
