A query and a bit of wonderment... a compadre of mine just remembered a show he saw on PBS (possibly NOVA) about 8 yrs ago where a researcher at MIT was translating the movements (gestures) of his hand to a robot hand. Apparently, he accomplished this feat without a dataglove or other such device... he used sensors taped to the forearm to sense the electric charges and patterns in the nerves that go to the hand. ... now I think that is a beauty of an unobtrusive design. the problem is, we have no idea where to start on finding info on the project. -any ideas anyone- -dfRERICHS Univ of IL/CU Dept of CompEng it's nice not to need a disclaimer.
