I remember seeing some discussion a while back about hooking up Sega 3-D glasses to a Macintosh, and I'd like some more information about this. How do you do it? How much software is there for the Mac which utilizes the goggles? I recently played a Mac game called Stella Obscura which got me kind of interested in 3-D graphics. Is there some basic literature out there that would show me how to do 3-D graphics? A formula for converting 3 dimensional coordinates to 2-D for display? David

I got e-mail from several people asking for me to send them the information that I was asking for about Sega 3-D glasses and the Mac, so I might as well post what I found out here. Juri Munkkki has done most of the work on this project and told me where to find what I wanted. You can ftp the circuit diagram for hooking up the glasses to the Mac from vega.hut.fi. There is also some example source code and a demo program at the site. All of the files are in pub/mac/finnish/sega3d/. David
