This tutorial covers the basic principles behind interactive
three dimensional user interfaces and virtual reality.  Topics
to be covered include input and output hardware devices, metaphors,
software architecture, interaction techniques, modeling and behavior,
display techniques, applications and case studies.  The case studies
are based on the software tools and applications that we have
developed at the University of Alberta.
