I am constantly getting messages like while running nn version 6.3.0 'There are still 56 unread articles in 53 groups' what does it really mean? How do I read these unread articles? It means that you still has a number of unread articles (-: I think that your problem is in your $HOME/.nn/init file. You probably has a number of newsgroups that is ignored in the init file. (! before the name of newsgroup) >How do I read these unread articles? What it means is that you're running a too-old version of nn. }How do I read these unread articles? FTP out the patchfiles, and it'll go away. The original 6.3 had a bug in that if there was a newsgroup that had *never* received a posting it would show up as a _permanent_ 'unread'. There are lots of groups that get postings once every six months, or even less often, and so you can run nn for quite a while and _still_ have some of these kicking around. /bernie\
