(TORONTO) Ontario Health Minister Elinor Caplan has announced nearly one-point-two-Million dollars in funding for AIDS awareness and support programs. The money goes to 21 community-based projects including one in Toronto (Youthlink) that provides counselling and other help to young, ``street people'' infected with the H-I-V virus. The money includes a 40-thousand dollar grant for a two-day conference at the University of Toronto in May concerning the legal, social and other effects of the AIDS epidemic on people aged 12 to 24. Among other projects there's a special travelling exhibition which will be set up by the Academy of Medicine in Toronto. hewitt/standard broadcast news toronto
