(QUEBEC CITY) Quebec Premier Robert Bourassa isn't concerned that the B-C Premier now feels the Meech Lake deal is unacceptable to British Columbians. Bourassa says there's nothing new in a political leader in Canada saying the constitutional accord should be improved. He adds Quebec is sticking by the position it has held for months....There will be no changes to the Meech Lake agreement before it's June 23rd deadline. Bourassa says any changes will have to be done in a second round of negotiations because it isn't realistic to change the Meech Lake deal before the deadline. Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Gil Remillard says Vander Zalm is a man of his word who has signed the deal twice so he's not about to destroy it. campbell/standard broadcast wire quebec
