	(UNDATED) Now there are two giant Maritime companies which have
announced Millions of dollars in investment for Prince Edward Island.  
	The latest announcement came late Thursday afternoon. McCain Foods
will invest in a 36-Million dollar potatoe processing factory that will
create 170 jobs on the Island.  
	Where the factory will be constructed is still up in the air. 
P-E-I Premier Joe Ghiz and his cabinet are pushing for an eastern P-E-I
location.  
	Last week, a 35-Million dollar french fry plant was announced for
western P-E-I in the Summerside area.  McCains' archrival, the Irving
empire who own another well-known food company ... Cavendish Foods are
behind that plant which is expected to create about 150 jobs.  
	The two plants are welcome news for P-E-I following the federal
government's plan to close Canadian Forces Base Summerside.
