NEW YORK, NEW YORK, U.S.A., 1990 FEB 03 (NB) -- Technology stocks finished mixed this week with the spotlight falling on Compaq, resulting in a $3 increase due to an improving profit situation. Also in the limelight, Apple Computers finished the week at $34.25, while Adobe saw 627,500 shares changing hands with its stock ending the week at $24.25. Computer Associates ended the week at $12.375, with Digital Equipment at $76.375, HP at $44.625 and IBM finishing the week at $98.37. Intel was one of the most active issues on Friday with more than 1,521,000 shares changing hands ending at $39.00. Mentor Graphics stood at $15.whilst 25, National Semiconductor stood at $6.125. Oracle ended the week at $21.25 with Seagate at $17.125. Seagate traded 1,239,000 shares in the week. Tandem was up a little at $27.50 after 1,116,300 shares were traded, whilst Sun moved to $19.375 with more than 1,284,500 shares changing hands The Newsbytes Stock Index (NSI) finished the week at 10.60, up slightly from last week. 425 technology stocks were traded with a total traded volume of 26,652,400 shares.
