BRUSSELS, BELGIUM, 1990 FEB 03 (NB) -- Sabena, Belgium's national airline, plans to use a Unisys 2200/400 mainframe system to run its cargo handling systems system. The contract is worth around $3 million to Unisys. Alain Bertrand, Sabena's Cargo vice president said, "The air cargo market-place is booming in Europe and we expect a steady increase in volume over the next few years. The new computers will give us added power to track the cargo offering better customer support." The Unisys 2200/400 family has demonstrated reliability of design and operations. Unisys has in the past established itself as a leading supplier of computers to the airline industry. (Peter Vekinis/19900203)
