CLEVELAND (UPI) -- Browns guard Ted Banker underwent major surgery on his left knee at the Cleveland Clinic Tuesday and likely will miss next season recovering from his injuries. Banker suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament, a torn medial collateral ligament, a torn posterior medial capsule ligament, a partially torn kneecap tendon, and a torn lateral miniscus. He was injured on an interception in the fourth quarter of the 37-21 loss to Denver Sunday. Banker, who will be 30 next month, is expected to be sidelined 11 to 12 months. He was signed by the Browns last February as a Plan B free agent after spending six years with the New York Jets.
