BUFFALO, N.Y. (UPI) -- Ronnie Harmon, who dropped what would have been the winning touchdown pass in an AFC divisional playoff game, Friday was one of 21 players left unprotected by the Buffalo Bills. Harmon was one of several name players the Bills decided to make available under the NFL's Plan B free agent system. Cornerback Derrick Burroughs, wide recievers Flip Johnson and James Lofton, punter John Kidd, running back Robb Riddick and defense stalwarts Fred Smerlas and Art Still were left unprotected by the AFC East champions. Each team was allowed to protect 37 players. Those left unprotected have until April 1 to sign contracts with other teams. Other players who saw action for the Bills in 1989 and are being allowed to pursue contracts with other teams include third-string quarterback Gale Gilbert, wide receivers John Kolesar and Darryl Franklin, kick returner Steve Tasker, offensive linemen Tim Vogler, Joe Devlin, Mitch Frerotte and Adam Lingner, nose tackle Bruce Mesner, linebackers Matt Monger, Richard Harvey, Tom Doctor and defensive back Carl Mims.
