CORNELLC is definitely a paranoid mailer. It's possible that while your gateway is properly registered on both BITNET and the Internet, your mailer might NOT appear in your site's node entry at BITNIC. If your mailer doesn't show up there, your mailer definition won't make it into XMAILER NAMES and BITEARN NODES. If your mailer doesn't appear in these files, paranoid mailers won't treat you as a trusted mailer, and will tell you to get lost as CORNELLC and Kentucky have done. I had the same problem with CORNELLC a while back, and the solution was to update our node entry to include the :mailer field. Here's a copy of what our node entry looks like. Note the :mailer and :srv1 fields at the end.
