[alt.callahans] Money and Materialism

----------
I agree with your post in most ways. Here are a few of my personal
proverbs.

Money cannot by happiness, but it is not a bad way to distract
yourself from sadness.

Money can't buy love, but who the hell needs love?

Money can't buy friends, but rich people have friends too.

Money isn't everything, but what is?

Take my word for it. I have been poor, and I have been well off.
Well off is much better. That is not to say I was unhappy when
I was poor, but I am just as happy now, and I am alot more
comfortable.

Cynic

Someone once said "Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a
Cadillac so you can go look for happiness." Sorry, I can't remember who
or where.
