hey there, ho there, hello there! i'd like to say welcome back to all of the metallists out there who've just come back from vacation. also, how disappointed i was to come back to a flame war. i thought this was going to be different. but i guess i was wrong again, as i have been many times before. oh well. just a few comments before i go on to lighter and much more interesting topics: 1) diane holt: don't you think that there's enough flaming going on here without you adding to it? i mean, yes, criticism of metal will be accepted... but "discussion", as you put it in quotes yourself, is rational, logical debating conversation-- not uncalled-for sarcasm and insults on metallists just because you happen to not be a metal fan--that is merely prejudice (and yes, we all have it, but some of us are a little more tactful (<= one of your favorite words, apparently) that you are with your comments). okay? thank you. 2) dave barro: (sp?) i'm really sorry that this b-board (sorry, NET, for G.Smith) is turning out like this. it must be terrible for you--what can we do but stay calm and above it all, right? luv ya! :-) 3) mmmtbbb: (you know who you are!) thanks for the momentary sanity in the midst of all of this temporary loss of it! p.c.2 4) mr. smith: i must commend you on doing a fine job of provoking all of those metallists-- a job well done, sir. but the next time you warrant attacks on us just for fun, i'm sure we would all appreciate some justification of your statements-- if you want to debate, fine, but if you want a war, get out. on to lighter topics: i saw stevie ray vaughn on new year's eve in NYC at the Ritz. The club: it was okay-looking, i'd heard it was a dive, and really wasn't... as far as stevie goes--he's still the best blues guitarist i've ever heard, and it's about time he was acknowledged again for his accomplishment. hooray, stevie, great show. and NYC is a howl on new year's eve-- all these yuppies roaming around in the streets with their champaign bottles in their hands. :-) okay well, that's about it for me now. remember, whoever started this quote on the network"bang the head that doesn't bang", i like it! i think it should be our theme phrase for our board!!! so .................
